📧 DAY 2 – Trust Today’s Game: Play the hand you’re dealt

Want to lower your scores? Accept today’s swing.

The range is not a test. It’s a preview.

Most golfers warm up like they’re auditioning for something:

  • They want every swing to be “perfect”

  • If it’s not, they panic and start overanalysing

  • Then they carry that doubt to the first tee

This mindset kills confidence.

âś… Here’s what to look for instead:

Use the range to gather today’s game plan:

  • Is my ball flying the way it usually does? Is it starting more right or more left than normal?
    → How is my contact?

  • How far are your clubs flying today?
→ Adjust expectations based on feel, not ego.

  • What’s misbehaving?
→ If something feels off and a quick adjustment (grip, alignment, ball position) doesn’t fix it, don’t fight it.
    → Find a workaround, not a repair.

✍️ My personal story:

When I played full time, I used to wonder why my ball didn’t fly the same way with different clubs, even when I felt like I made the exact same swing. Why could I hit a nice draw with a 9-iron but not with a driver?

It wasn’t until I started coaching and really studying the swing that I understood how much setup, ball position, club path, and club length affect ball flight.

If your ball isn’t doing what you want, it’s likely not your swing, it’s that you don’t yet know how to create the outcome you’re after. That’s what golf is: discovery, adjustment, and learning to play your natural game, not someone else’s.

đź’ˇ Key insight:

The best players aren’t perfect. They’re just aware of what they have and play smart around it.

🌀 Reflect and Reset:

What do you usually do when a club misbehaves during warm-up, do you adapt or panic? Next time, instead of letting it get in your head, think about how you can adjust, stay patient, and stick to your plan.

See you on Day 3!
